Title

Making Antibiotic Use Governable: International Law and Global Politics

Author Maarten VAN DER HEIJDEN
Director of thesis Clare Chandler (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine)
Co-director of thesis
Summary of thesis

My thesis approaches antimicrobial resistance not only a problem awaiting a global response but as a condition produced through the routine work of international law and policy, expertise, and commerce across medicines, agriculture, and the environment. Currently I am researching the way we look at the use of medicines in global politics.
