An ethnographic study that explores how Syrian refugees in Jordan, living in urban Amman, interacts with documents in everyday life. It focuses on the ways in which, in relation to the absence and presence of different documents (id-documents of different kinds), Syrians experience both spatial and temporal (im)mobility.
