Pratiques de soins, pratiques d accueil. Accueillir les nouveau-nés à risque dans le Service de néonatologie du CHUV (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois) à Lausanne

The main topic of my work is about « risky » newborns treatment practices in a hospital context (University Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland). My fieldwork takes place in the intensive care unit and in the « parents and family place », both located in the maternity building. I m working in collaboration with neonatologists, nurses and parents. This way, I have been able to gather much information about the way that professionals, parents and newborns experience the everyday life in this particular context and also about the way that inter-individuals dynamics are constructed and negotiated between these different categories of social actors.
