Summary of thesis

Thesis is about NGO projects against domestic violence currently under way in so-called post-soviet Georgia, mostly in Tbilissi. The research is not about domestic violence itself. Neither it is an evaluation of NGO work. Its main goal is to decribe the way these projects work in practice. More precisely, the research will determine what happens to a "globalized collection" of thinking about domestic violence when it travels. In addition, the research will look at the process of standarization of understandings of the domestic violence problem and its solutions through the circulation among a variety of actors connected to development projects.
