Research is located in Los Angeles, California, where community has use art to reclaim their urban space and to strengthen social fabric in marginalised immigrant communities. The aim of the thesis is to understand the use of mural art and the function of art in general in a highly politized community that is at the same time marginalised by the economic and political policies.
